Electronics Recycling

What Can I Recycle?

Whether it’s proprietary information and sensitive customer data or sustainability, safe and secure electronics recycling is a must.

Not sure what you can recycle? See our list.

Our Electronics Recycling Process

Processing

We process electronics being recycled, carefully adhering to our certified processes to protect the environment and your data.

Dismantle Hardware
We disassemble every piece of hardware, breaking it down to its components and raw materials.

Separate Metals
We identify raw materials that can be salvaged and resold or reused in another device.

Reporting

Our documentation lets you rest easy by confirming total data destruction and responsible electronics recycling, according to rigorous standards determined by the many certifications we hold. Reports include:

Certificate of Recycling and Destruction.
This verifies responsible handling and total data destruction. Our certification governs our process and ensures that data is destroyed.

Settlement.
When the process is complete, this documents the items recycled and verifies transfer of liability to Cobalt.

Equipment audit.
This details every item processed by make, model, serial number and asset tag that can be submitted to accounting for use as a tax deduction.

Value: Revenue Sharing

We provide competitive commodity rebates (when applicable) that help offset the cost of recycling certain materials.

Quick Tip:

If you work with a company that only offers remarketing or refurbishment, you’re losing potential compensation when they recycle materials—a key part of the value our asset management process provides.

Your peace of mind is worth a million: Cyber liability coverage.

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we provide cyber liability up to $1 million to protect your company from any liability. For example: After Cobalt collects your equipment, the driver gets in an accident and someone at the scene pockets two cell phones. They find your data and put it on the black market. This coverage protects you from up to $1 million in losses.
